About our courses
Our courses are run in small group settings by professional artists and musicians, who have lots of experience working with people from all artistic backgrounds. Whether you’re highly skilled or brand new to the art form, our courses will help you to achieve your creative goals. Our courses are for adults aged 19 and over.
Your commitment
Starting a course is a different experience for everyone, but there are some basic expectations that we will ask you to commit to. Our courses work best for both you and the group if you can attend the sessions on time and are able and willing to respond to instructions from the creative tutor.
We also hope that as the course goes on, you will become more comfortable:
Sharing your personal opinion
Learning and trying new things
Working in a group and on your own
Above all, we want you to join in and have fun. We have lots of different courses available, and we hope you will find one to match what you are looking for.
Entry requirements
Our courses are for adults aged 19 and over (you must be aged 19 on 31 August 2024) who live in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region*. We prioritise new learners at risk of social exclusion, including including people with health conditions, disabilities, unpaid carers and/or unemployed. You cannot do the same course more than once and you may only be able to take one course at a time.
Starting a course is a different experience for everyone, but there are some basic expectations. All learners should be able to: attend regularly; comprehend and follow instruction; articulate personal responses; learn; work independently and with others; complete and submit creative and written work to deadlines; and have access to essential equipment.
We can make reasonable adjustments according to your support needs which will be discussed at your application appointment.
Returning Learners may apply only to courses they have not completed before.
*We may be able to offer a few places for those with postcodes out of the region (excluding London), depending on funding. However, this will affect the fee bands (see below). UK nationals and EU nationals with Settled Status are eligible for funding. Other situations are considered on a case-by-case basis and will be responded to individually.
